I have both of your games. I am really enjoying WS a lot. I like it more than BM. It is a lot of fun. It has a really interesting story arch. the dialogue is great, and the visuals pull the story and dialogue together very well. You really should be working on this first, and finishing it. BM can wait.
BM is the main project, the big one with the great visuals, the eye-candy and serious story, which also makes some money, this one here is a small side project just for fun that I started when I had a lot of time. Now I simply don't have that much time anymore, and I don't want to start crunching. I already have a lot of other stuff to do and the quality would suffer a lot.
Let me preface this by saying I am a harem builder lover, it's what drew me to your stories.
A great AVN requires more than amazing visuals. Sure the visual quality is better on BM, but I am about 5 or 6 hours in, and the story isn't nearly as engaging. It's just a dude building a harem without a real reason. I am enjoying it, but not nearly as much as WS. As I state in a lot of my reviews, a great AVN requires 3 things. 1. A story that engages the reader, the more epic the better. 2. Dialogue that is not only grammatically correct, but it has to be written so that each character is portrayed through it's manner of speech. 3. Visuals that portray the telling of the story and the dialogue. Honestly, the visuals are the least important of the three. Yes, the better they are, the better they help tell the story. But relying on visuals only doesn't make a great AVN. BM has amazing visuals. And I feel the emotion and personalities of each of the characters through the dialogue and the visuals. You have done amazing in that regard. And while I see the point in the story, (guy wrestling with being who he is through remembering buried memories and trying to justify his current existence), it honestly just feels like an excuse to have sex with a bunch of women, including his family members, all at the same time. If you had included the visuals for the repressed memories too, it would have made the telling of it more dramatic, and a lot more engaging. I get why you didn't, but I believe it would have been better for the story. WS might seem to you to be a side project. Just something you were fooling around with. You just collected some thoughts in the form of short stories, and added them to a sum that made up an over arching story. Turns out that it turned into an amazing story. Hannah woke up! What a fucking cliff hanger. The dynamic between all the different girls and their personalities. Travelling to another world and fighting monsters. The mystery that is the MC's grandfather, AND his grandmother. Unravelling the tapestry that is his extended family, and figuring out how take care of all of them and maybe help a whole other world. Dude, this is an epic in the making. Plus, it is a lot easier to avoid having sex with immediate family members than it is in BM, which makes those of us who are not into incest feel a lot better. Don't get me wrong, I am liking BM a lot. I just feel you are missing the fact that WS is a more potentially epic tale that could be a masterpiece. The story is the important part here. Too many authors rely on visuals and lewd scenes to make an AVN. And those types of AVNs are fine if that's all you're into. But to me, you feel more like a story teller. Tell your stories. Go with what you think is right. I'm here for all of it. But I'm here more for WS. Just my two cents.
While I agree with most of what you said, you have to remember that a) BM was there long before I started playing around with WS, it's the main project. B) The fan base for WS is a lot smaller than for BM and C) WS makes no money and I'll never be able to sell it officially because the software (engine) license doesn't allow it.
Let me be honest with you, I might prefer WS a bit more than BM myself. It's a bit rough around the edges, but it's fun, and I will definitely come back to it, but BM has priority at the moment.
Someone recommended this as an example of your work cause I said I wouldn't buy a game without a demo for bad memories. Amazing story my only issue is I'm super irritated this game was abandoned. So I bought your other game and hope it lives up to the first one. I hope my money goes to help you decide to pick this game back up in the future.
Thanks a lot. This one isn't abandoned, but it's a side project. At the moment I'm focused at finishing my other game, after that's done, I'll come back to do some weird shit ;)

It's not abandoned, it's just on hold until bm is done.

Good to know, I guess I'll have to wait a bit. Thanks!
